New confirmed case of Covid- 19 on the island.
A Zakynthian who returned from Poro island is the latest confirmed positive case.
This was announced a few hours ago.
A 56 year old Zakynthian man who has recently returned from the island of Poro island.
He is currently in Zakynthos General Hospital. Within the next few hours the doctors will decide if he needs to stay in the hospital or can return home for the 14day quarantine.
There has been an immediate testing of Covid-19 of his family and close contacts.
Since begining of the pandemic in March this is the 16 th confirmed case of Covid-19 on the island.

Daughter of the 56 year old as been confirmed negative to Covid-19.
UPDATE…. 16.32P.M
The 56-year-old wife also tested positive for Covid-19. Their daughter, however is negative for the virus.
The doctors will soon decide on the course that the couple will follow.
Logically speaking, they will quarantine at home for 14 days.
Tracking will start immediately…
We can now count from Mach 2020 a total of seventeen cases of covid-19 have been confirmed on our Island.
