On Sunday night, firefighters brought four minors to the Zakynthos Police Department on charges of arson from the spot where a fire had earlier broken out in the Kalamaki area very close to houses and tourist accommodations.
The fire burnt about one and a half acres of grass area, as the men of the Zakynthos Fire Service immediately arrived at the scene and extinguished it
As reported by ERT of Zakynthos, the firefighters proceeded to bring in the 4 minors, of Albanian origin, as arson suspects in this particular fire.
Those brought in were taken to the Zakynthos Police Department and an investigation is being carried out into whether the fire was started intentionally or by negligence, by the minors.
