On the occasion of World Health Day, I would like to once again warmly thank all the workers in the field of health. The challenges faced by physicians and all healthcare professionals are trying and often exceeding human endurance. As a doctor, in fact, who serves in the General Hospital of Zakynthos, I am by their side and I know very well the difficult struggle they give every day in order to help our fellow human beings.
However, in major crises, such as the health crisis we experience due to the coronavirus, thanks and wishes alone are not enough.
For me, the health shield of our hospital is my top priority from the first moment I took office as an MP. In this effort, of course, I always have the valuable support of the Ministry of Health, the 6th Health District and the administration of our Hospital.
For this reason we are constantly strengthening our hospital with all the necessary equipment and we continue to recruit all specialties.
We aim at every possible intervention that will allow the provision of upgraded health services to all, because every citizen is entitled to a strong health system.
