UPDATES…..
After posting the report by our local newspaper, the representative of the tour company that had clients abroad the boat stated: “These people were tested at the airport after their arrival which was Saturday morning at 8.15. The cruise started on Monday at 9.00. So the test results didn’t come back on time, as they say latest in 24 hours.”
According to Health regulations visitors are tested randomly and are supposed to be notified of their results within a 24 hour period. If clients are not notified it is assumed they are negative. Which it seems happened in these two cases.
The representative also explained that their client once told of the results along with the other 215 passengers all returned immediately to the port and were taken to their hotels. Procedures were then taken under the protocols of covid-19.
We were informed that the tour company’s clients are all in good health.
Two more cases of Covid 19 on the island.
Two tourists, a female from Hungary and a gentleman from Czech Republic have tested positive for covid 19.
They were both Radom tested at the airport and the results were announced a short while ago. The female tourist on holiday with a friend was on a boat cruise with another 215 passengers when she was informed of her results.
They immediately went into a room for quarantine until the boat could dock at the nearest port. The Greek health authorities have allowed the trip to continue without the two guests who will be checked by doctors before they are transitioning the quarantine hotel in Keri.
The Czech tourist was also on a boat trip along with the other nine people travelling with him , they docked in St Nicholas in Volimes to be met by the health authorities in order to be transferred to the quarantine hotel in Keri.
