The island of Zakynthos wins the 1st edition of the International Jousting of the Rings. A contested victory to the last within the city of Osilo (Sardinia), which was a nail biting finish right till the very end. . At the end of the four rounds, only two points divided the two delegations (33 against 31), with the Greeks who managed to write their name on the golden scroll of the newly born event.
The final victory went to Zakynthos. Two riders represented Zakynthos, one from the local town of Oristano, Paolo Faedda and our very own experienced rider, Nikos Tsourakis.
Giostra Di Zante Announces
On the FB page President of the Giostra Di Zante association writes:-
After an official invitation accepted by the Board of Directors. of our Association from the Fondazione Oristano la Sartiglia for the start of a new international Giostra, attended Sardinia where a protocol of cooperation between the states was signed. Afterwards, the Giostra competition of the ring was held with the participation of six teams in which the first place was won by the Giostra of Zakynthos rider Nikolas Tsourakis of Spyros.
