Unfortunately, the unpleasant incidents never seem to stop in Laganas. Only moments after midnight, an English tourist, completely without thought decided to destroy a street light, located on the pathway in Laganas, on the main road leading to Kalamaki. As you can see from the photos, (click on link below), it took a great deal of effort to do so, as the light post was ripped out of the ground.
Indeed, in a video captured by a businessman in the area, it shows other tourists were forced to go round the light post which became a dangerous obstacle.
According to reports, shortly afterwards, the English tourist who caused the damage was arrested by police, who arrived at the spot, while earlier businessmen within the area had captured him and had retained him waiting for the police to arrive.
