Arcadia, Achaia, Zakynthos, Ioannina and Messinia are entering the “red” level of increased risk 4, as the pandemic continues across our nation.
Half of Greece has turned “red”, due to the sharp increase in coronavirus cases throughout the country. Apart from northern Greece, which is experiencing an increased epidemiological burden and low vaccination rates, the pandemic is showing signs of spreading to southern and western Greece.
This is proved by the inclusion of three Regional Units of the Peloponnese in the “red” epidemiological level of danger, as well as two more areas from the west.
Specifically, in the fourth level “red” of the much increased risk were upgraded: Arcadia, Achaia, Messinia, Zakynthos and Ioannina, while in all other burdened “red” areas of northern Greece there was no improvement.
More to come. …
