The balcony door of a room where tourists were staying in a hotel in Zakynthos was violated by a foreigner, who took advantage of their absence, broke in without anyone noticing and snatched two mobile phones, bank cards, 50 euros and personal documents.
The burglary took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning, but the immediate actions of the Security police resulted in the location of the perpetrator along the highway. In his possession were the mobile phones and part of the other objects, which were returned to their owner, while the foreigner was taken to the Public Prosecutor of Zakynthos who referred him to be tried for theft in the spontaneous procedure.
He broke into a doctor’s office, three offices and two shops.
