Tensions in the eastern Aegean area:-
Nine sailboats with 600 migrants attempt to enter Greece illegally.
Coast Guard vessels prevented them from entering Greek territorial waters, forcing them to return to the shores of Turkey.
New incidents with migrants who tried to cross illegally in Greek territorial waters were recorded this morning at the eastern sea borders of the country.
Specifically, in the morning between Samos and Chios, a sailboat with irregular immigrants tried to enter Greece with the Greek side responding immediately. Coast Guard vessels prevented the vessels from entering, forcing them to return to the shores of Turkey.
According to information from SKAI, from the early hours of the morning until 11 in the morning, 5 sailboats and 4 inflatable with at least 600 illegal immigrants have tried to enter Greece and the Coast Guard is on alert in order to make safe deterrence of these boats.
