Today Bobby Gee welcomed Kirsty Dewar to his breakfast show on Zakynthos’ English speaking radio station, Island FM, to talk about her newly released EP called Influence.
Currently based in Cyprus, Kirsty is a talented singer-songwriter originally from Scotland. Kirsty’s music has a vibe of a mix of modern rock and pop, such as Imagine Dragons and pink. Her own past musical influences are bands like Queen Elvis and old sixties stuff.
Kirsty’s new EP Influence was released on the 20th of May. It’s made up of six original tracks written and recorded by Kirsty. Two of the tracks were previously released but have now been remastered for the EP. The other four tracks are brand new. The EP was recorded in March this year at a studio in Cornwall, UK, with a Producer who has produced for Sugababes, Ronan Keating and Eurovision’s own Sam Ryder. Kirsty will be heading back to the studio again in December to record a full album.
Kirsty was interviewed by Bobby earlier this year in March when her EP single Dance With Your Shadows was released, Bobby also played the song on the radio at the time.
As well as interviewing Kirsty this morning, Bobby also played another three EP tracks, Eyes Wide open, You Were My, and the title track Influence.
It was a great interview by Bobby Gee and we look forward to hearing more from Kirsty Dewar in the future, she has a unique voice and a great songwriting talent.
