Jet2holidays and Jet2.com recorded a sharp increase in bookings for Greece and Cyprus after the announcements that the two countries will welcome tourists from the beginning of the summer.
Following a large increase in British holiday bookings as soon as the UK roadmap for exit from the lockdown was announced. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays recorded a 200% increase in bookings for Cyprus. This following the undersecretary of Tourism’s announcements about the country opening for vaccinated Britons this summer.
The companies are recording an increase in bookings for Greece as well, after Theochari’s announcements that travellers who have either been vaccinated, have antibodies or have a negative coronavirus test will be accepted.
The increases for Greece and Cyprus concern trips from July and reach until the winter season of 2021/22 and the summer of 2022.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will fly to 14 Greek destinations this summer, with strong demand being recorded for Corfu, Crete, Kefalonia, Rhodes and Zakynthos as well as Santorini, Skiathos and Halkidiki.
Recently, new flights and vacation programs were added to Zakynthos, Heraklion, Rhodes and Kefalonia.
