The top 5 views of Zakynthos!

Anyone who visits Zakynthos will agree that it’s an island full of amazing views. No matter where you are there are so many incredible things to see, and if you choose your viewpoint well, you can see some of the island’s most spectacular, and well-loved views.

So, where are the top five views on Zakynthos?

Bochali
The small village of Bochali sits up on the acropolis that overlooks Zakynthos Town. As well as the quaint village, with a must-visit church and the ancient Bochali Castle, there are also stunning views across Zakynthos Town giving you a bird’s eye view of the island’s main city. The viewpoint also gives views across the bay to Mount Skopos and down to the Bay of Laganas.

Keri
In the west of the island, is Keri. As well as a traditional Zakynthian village, there are stunning views from the cliffs allowing visitors to get a great view of the spectacular coastline. The views at Keri also allow visitors to see the stunning Mizithres rocks and recently formed Agios Dimitrios Beach. The crowning glory though is the endless view out across the Ionian Sea; a perfect backdrop to watch the sunset.

Skinari
At the north of the island is the area of Skinari. It’s surrounded by blue waters, dotted with Windmills and wildflowers. Driving to the very tip of the island, visitors are greeted with the amazing views of the neighbouring island of Kefalonia, rising across the water, you can see parts of the Greek mainland too. It’s a beautiful and relatively unspoilt part of the island and it’s a trip worth making the trip north to explore.

Skopos
To the south of Zakynthos Town is Mount Skopos. It’s relatively easy to get to the top, and once you do you will not regret it! As well as the interesting Monastery of Panagia Skopiotissa, the outcrop gives you 360-degree views of the island. From Zakynthos Town to the tip of the Vasilikos Peninsula, to the sweeping Laganas Bay and the imposing Vrachonias mountains in the distance. It’s a must-visit if you want to get a panoramic, aerial view of Zakynthos then Skopos is the perfect location.

Vrachonias Mountains
Along the west of the island are the Vrachonias Mountains. Home to some of the island’s oldest villages, and hidden history. The mountains are easily accessible and give visitors stunning views right around the island. They take in the endless Ionian seas and panoramic glimpses across the island all the way to the resorts of Alykes, Alykanas, and Tsilivi, you can even see down to the Bay of Laganas and Mount Skopos. It’s one of the best places to visit to get panoramic views across the island.

Zakynthos has so many incredible views. They’re all free, easy to access and make great day trips if you’re looking for something different. Whichever one you choose, enjoy the views!
