The Zakynthos Builders Association expresses their condolences for the unfair loss of their colleague. The unfortunate man lost his life while working. The Builders’ Association once again stresses the importance of taking accident prevention measures, as their industry has many deaths. Importantly, they advocate that the necessity of self-protection and hygiene measures should be taken to ensure that their work is safe.
Specifically, in their announcement:
“Another tragic, fatal accident is on the long list of work related accidents in our industry in recent years. Specifically, a 60-year-old worker fell from the roof of a two-storey house into a gap while working, resulting in the loss of his life. We will not be tired of making it known at all levels how important hygiene and safety measures and self-protection measures are in the workplace and on the building sites.
We are fighting, and first of all, seeking to implement security measures that protect the most basic good thing, human life.
Retirement at the age of 55, as due to the nature of our work it becomes dangerous for those of an older age. Enough is enough! Finally, checks should begin to be made, so that the issue of safety at work does not become a second issue.
The Board of Directors of Zakynthos Builders’ Association expresses its condolences to the family of our deceased colleague. “
