An 18-year-old from Great Britain, who was on vacation in Zakynthos, was injured yesterday afternoon, while swimming in the sea area of Marathonisi beach, from a boat that was in the area.
The Port Authority of Zakynthos was informed about the incident by the Unified Center for Search and Rescue, however no further details have been made known about the exact circumstances of his injury.
The 18-year-old was taken to the area of Agios Sostis, Lagana, Zakynthos, then transported by ambulance to a private clinic, where he was given first aid and remained hospitalized. A preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Port Authority of Zakynthos.
