The choir of Zakynthos FANEROMENI will perform tonight August 21, at 20.30 in the courtyard of the church ” Panagia FANEROMENI”. Zakynthos, a concert dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Revolution of 1821.
The concert will be accompanied by narrations by Niki Kapari and Costas Kapodistrias, while a poem by Thomas Angelos Prassas will be recited for the first time by him.
The former minister Mr. Anastasios Liaskos will make topical speeches as well as the member of the choir and former president of the Union of Zakynthos Mr. Giannis Pomonis.
On a big screen will be played during the concert artistic creations inspired by the Revolution of 1821. Creations of children of the Xenopouleio Library, creations that were awarded in a competition held by the Secondary Education of Zakynthos.
Also works by Mr. Antonios Milanos which are currently being presented at the Battleship Averoff as well as works donated by the Museum of Solomos and Prominent Zakynthos and the Public Historical Library of Zakynthos.
Finally, it should be noted that a song by the teacher Mr. Michalis Tsaousis entitled “OI MESOLOGGITISSES” will be heard for the first time.
Together with the choir of FANEROMENI, the Mandolines of Lithakia and “ZAKYNTHOS 1958” participate, as well as other musicians.
