The announcement from the Headquarters of the Coast Guard about the incident:

The Port Authority of Zakynthos was informed yesterday afternoon that the boat “ILIAS PETRITIS” N.Z. 350 was damaged, while it had departed from the port “Porto Vromi Anafonitrias”, with nine (09) passengers and returned independently, due to vibrations in the propeller.

Immediately, officers of the relevant port went to the spot, accompanied by an officer of the Zakynthos Port Authority, where after a test voyage of the above boat, two (02) wings were found distorted on the propeller, while the incident caused no marine pollution.

The Port Authority of Zakynthos prohibited the departure of “ILIAS PETRITIS” until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of  sea worthiness by the organization monitoring the ship, while the prescribed procedure of administrative sanctions was initiated.
