The increase in the number of coronavirus cases in schools is a matter of serious concern and we have already reached 42 cases in recent weeks.
What needs to be done on a daily basis is to check that the virus does not spread from students who are coronavirus positive.
Lately we have the following incidents: 15 in Panagoula, 15 in Lithakia, 5 in the 2nd High School, 3 in the 3rd High School, 1 in Mousiko, 2 in Macherado, 1 in the 1st High School.
The Director of Secondary Education, Dionysios Pothos, asked the students’ parents to work with the student community to reduce cases and any other problems. Mr. Pothos also noted that continuous checks are carried out for the tests performed by children and these checks should be done without any laxity.
Yesterday, a joint announcement was made by the Ministries of Education & Religions and Digital Governance, announcing the measures for better and safer operation at the health level of the school units. Specifically, from Monday, November 1, 2021, the edupass.gov.gr platform will be put into operation for the public school units, which is an additional tool for the health shielding of the living operation of the public educational structures.
