Heavy rains and thunderstorms will occur from the morning hours of Sunday (05-09-2021) in the Ionian Islands and at noon in Epirus, Western and Central Mainland, Western and gradually Eastern Peloponnese, Western and Central Macedonia and Thessaly.
Zakynthos:-
As we can see on the photos below, Zakynthos will encounter her first rains for several months. The rain will start late this evening around 21.00p.m , so don’t forget to shut those windows.
Winds will be west north west at 7 to 8km/h. The temperature will be around 24/25 degrees Celsius over the next few days.
Later on early Sunday morning rains will continue throughout the day. Firstly with showers, scattered thunderstorms and then thunderstorms from around 08.00a.m. Then thunderstorms will continue all day into the early hours of Monday.
With the storms we will have winds at speed ranging from 9km/h in the morning and reaching to 15km/h by 15.00p.m.
The intense phenomena are expected to weaken from the evening hours of Sunday in the northwest. In the morning hours of Monday (06-09-2021) the effects will be limited to the Southern Ionian and the Western Peloponnese, where they are forecast to weaken from noon.
