It is not the first time we have read negative headlines in our national papers when it comes to our environment. This time the national Greek paper “ekathimerini has posted about our marine park and the goings on, in regards to the protection of the loggerhead sea turtles within the park.
As reporter Giorgos Lialos writes in his post ” When it comes to environmental protection in Greece, it is “still like the Wild West, where anyone can do what they like without regard for the law,” the World Wildlife Fund has said, lamenting the drastic reduction of a fine levied against a businessman for flagrant violations of conservation rules of the Zakynthos National Marine Park. ”
In this particular case the World Wildlife Fund is talking about a fine imposed on a businessman which had been drastically reduced. You may want to read the article here :- Wild West
