Zakynthos:- AB Vasilopoulos Supermarket

At AB they really care about the environment and our planet!
they have implemented practices and offer innovative services & solutions that reduce our environmental footprint.

In collaboration with PPC, they are creating the largest electric vehicle charging network in our country.

Zakynthos is on the list among with another 440 other stations across Greece. You may have noticed that the booths have been in place for a number of days and all you need now is to plug your car into the electric point.

What is the charging process?

In order to charge your vehicle at their store charging points you will need a Type 2 charging cable.
You can charge your vehicle by following the simple steps below:
1. With the QR Scanner application, scan the QR code on the selected charging port/station which links to the PPC Blue application. Download and install the PPC Blue application. (If you already have the app, skip to step 2.)
2. In the PPC Blue application, select Scan QR. Declare a payment method by entering your credit or debit card.
3. Connect your vehicle’s charging cable to the selected charger outlet.
4. In the application, select “start charging” in the selected outlet that the QR code scan refers you to. Then charging starts.
5. To complete charging select “stop charging” from the application and disconnect the charging cable

Am I charged for charging?

The charging of electric vehicles through the PPC Blue network will now be done with the following charge:

PPC blue
AC Fast Charge 22 kW
Visitors: €0.50/kWh
PPC blue members: €0.45/kWh

The above prices are valid from 9/8/2022
24% VAT is included in the prices.

You can find out about the cost of the service through the PPC Blue application, by selecting the charging point you want. Transactions will be made contactless, using a bank card, and payment receipt will be received through notifications on your mobile.

How long will it take to charge?

The charging time depends not only on the power of the charging station, but also on the electric vehicle itself.
Each electric vehicle has a specific charging power, usually from 3.7kW to 11kW for AC charging.
Thus, an electric vehicle can be fully charged in a period of time ranging from 30 minutes to 6 hours.
Charging time depends on four main factors:

The power in kilowatts (kW) of the plug available at the charging station (public or domestic)
The maximum power of the vehicle’s own battery charger
The type of charging cable used for charging
The capacity of the vehicle’s battery and its state of charge before starting charging
