Zakynthos: Two arrests for drug trafficking and possession in Laganas.
The trafficker had in his possession, as well as in the car he was driving, a total of 17 packages of cocaine.
A major operation by the Security Department of Zakynthos took place yesterday in the area of Laganas, to arrest a drug trafficker.
The police, using information, arrived at the arrest of a foreign trafficker. In more detail, police officers from the Security Department with the assistance of OPKE police officers managed to locate the trafficker, shortly after the “transaction” was made with a foreign tourist, who was also arrested and a small amount of cocaine was found in her possession and confiscated.
At the time of his detection, the trafficker had in his possession, as well as in the car he was driving, a total of 17 packages of cocaine, while subsequently narcotics were found both in a storage area of a business he maintains in the area of Laganas as well as in his home.
In total for this particular case, during the searches carried out and with the participation of a police drug detection dog, among others: 27 packages of cocaine weighing 119 grams, 8 packages of raw cannabis, weighing 198.5 grams, a pistol were found and confiscated (replica), 118 war cartridges, as well as 4 electronic scales.
A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Security Department of Zakynthos. The arrested were taken to the public prosecutor of Zakynthos.
